📍 On‑site – Bengaluru, India | Competitive salary + bonus + early equity

🚀 About Ixana
Ixana is a Purdue University spinoff pioneering brain-inspired wearable computing. We've developed Wi-R, a patented communication tech that's 100x more energy-efficient than Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Join our 60-person team building the next era of real-time, AI-powered human-computer interaction.

💡 The Wi-R Revolution
Wi-R is our patented non-radiative near-field communication technology that creates secure "wire-like wireless" experiences through small E-field bubbles around your body. This breakthrough enables unprecedented energy efficiency at sub-0.1 nanojoules per bit, making long-term wearable and implantable devices finally practical.

What You’ll Do

  • Write bare-metal C/C++ firmware to interface MCUs with sensors and Wi-R chips.

  • Lead embedded software development for Wi-R reference devices like smartglasses, smartwatches, earbuds, EEG/EMG nodes, and more.

  • Build, test, and debug low-level embedded code on custom hardware platforms.

  • Integrate and optimize communication protocols (I2C, SPI, BLE) for wearable use cases.

  • Work closely with hardware and system engineers to iterate on design and bring-up.

  • Help shape and contribute to the new Wi-R embedded software standard.

What We're Looking For

  • BTech in ECE, EE, CS, or related field.

  • One of the following must be true:

    • 5+ years of experience writing embedded code for wearable or silicon chip bring-up.

    • GPA ≥ 9/10 in Electronics-related field with exceptional C/C++ skills.

    • GPA ≥ 8/10 from IIT (BTech or Integrated MTech) with deep C/C++ expertise.

  • Strong experience with MCU firmware development.

  • Low-level coding ability (bare-metal, register-level) and low-power optimization skills.

  • Familiarity with interfaces like I2C, SPI, BLE, and hands-on debugging.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in EE/CS/ECE or equivalent.

  • Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and embedded debugging tools.

  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, USB.

  • Exposure to personal embedded projects or hardware hacking.

  • PCB design or firmware–hardware co-design experience.

  • Experience working with toolchains, makefiles, and custom build environments.
